5th Element Center for Dance’s youth dance company, The 3rd Law, is a pre-professional program that provides rigorous training and competition opportunities for students in grades 3rd through 10th. The dance company program provides opportunities for dancers to receive scholarships, awards, and performance opportunities through conventions and competitions.

Applications for the Fall are open on a rolling basis through August 31 here. The company program cohort will be selected through an application process in the September 2026. The inaugural dance company program will accept up to 20 dancers.

All inaugural company dancers will:

  • be required to take weekly dance classes in hip hop styles and more

  • train and perform alongside a community of dancers who look like them and share their love of movement; deepen their knowledge of hip hop history and culture

  • build confidence, self-expression, and emotional wellness through our social emotional curriculum

  • be mentored personally, relationally, and artistically in a small crew led by a dedicated dance mentor

  • have opportunities to perform and compete at events throughout the year

No previous dance experience required.

Our no-cost barrier model means that need-based scholarships are available to cover registration, costumes, competitions, and all other expenses, so that nothing stands between you and this program.
